Tomorrow is the start to BRIDAL FASHION WEEK - YAY! Designers nationwide will be showcasing their new Fall 2016 Collection for all the world to see! And the ladies of La Jeune Mariee and Big Rock Bridal are throwing on their best pair of heels to take on The Big Apple!

Our owner Lindsay will be accompanied by Ashley and Jane, our LUXEredux Columbus Manager and head stylist at our Bridesmaids and Social Occasion boutique to help select the perfect gowns for your perfect day! Love Wins!

Being in the bridal industry, we couldn't be happier for the SCOTUS ruling last Friday for same sex marriage being legal! Equality means a lot to us here at Big Rock Bridal because we treat everyone the same that walks in our doors! No matter if you're a man looking for a bridal gown or a woman looking for a suit (which we have a fabulous option for by the way), you will get the same special treatment and respect that all of our brides do! We are also happy to say that we are a part of Pride Perfect Weddings which is an Event Planning Service with a group of Talented Wedding Professionals that support the LGBT community for marriage equality across our Nation. 

With that being said, it's Wedding Wednesday so of course this is the PERFECT time to share with you a wedding that we have been obsessing over with our Big Rock Bride, Katherine! Katherine wore an Anna Maier gown and let me say, it was a beauty! She looked so fabulous when she married her wife Elizabeth in the SoHo room at Trump SoHo New York! They had family and friends fly from all over the country to come celebrate their marriage with them. As Elizabeth stated, "We will strive to be a marvelous example of love, pride, and the pursuit of happiness." We are so happy we could be apart of Katherine's big day and even happier she was able to marry the women of her dreams!

Wedding Wednesday featuring Big Rock Bride Emily!

Happy Wedding Crush Wednesday ladies! Every weekend there's always so many beautiful weddings with our brides and I'm so happy we get to share one with you today! Emily, who is the owner of Pure Baree in Columbus, tied the knot with her hubby Adam this past weekend! They are both graduates from The Ohio State University and they have a perfect family of three with their lovable dog Tucker! They had their wedding at The Club at Corazon, and I'm not kidding when I say their whole wedding was gorgeous!

I'm obsessing over every detail of Emily & Adam's wedding. It was like a wedding from Pinterest came to life! From the wedding invitations to the table settings, it was perfect and all thanks to the event styling and planning done by Meleka Jolliff with MMJ Events! 

I've seen some pretty interesting invitations before but never ones like this! These clear and pink invitations fit in perfectly with the whole theme of the wedding! These custom invitations were made by Ink & Ivory. 

You always need some pretty flowers as your walking down the aisle and I think Posy Florals really outdid themselves with this bouquet! Literally so perfect with Emily's Vera Wang dress! 

Chandeliers and a clear tent with pink accents made The Club at Corazon the perfect venue! 

I bet that cake was just as delicious as it is gorgeous! Cake artistry by Miam Cake!

Now even though I loved all the details about Emily and Adam's wedding, we haven't talked about her dress yet. It's probably my favorite part of every wedding, seeing how gorgeous the bride looks in her wedding gown that she chose and that's probably why I saved this part for last. So last but DEFINITELY not least, let's talk about Emily's dress. She wore a Vera Wang from Big Rock Bridal and looked absolutely stunning in it! "Holly" is a sophisticated mermaid gown in a delicate dusty pink color with hand-cut organza petals on the bottom! This dress fit Emily and her wedding perfectly! And what better way to finish off a Vera Wang dress than with some Christian Louboutin's! The groom, Adam also wore a Vera Wang tux and he looked quite dashing in it! 

I just had to share these last few pictures with you..I mean look how handsome Tucker looks in his bowtie! I can't get over how absolutely beautiful Emily and Adam's wedding was! We are so glad we got the chance to be apart of Emily's special day! You looked stunning Emily and all your pictures are gorgeous! We hope you had the best day ever! Congratulations on your marriage and cheers to many years to come! 

Upcoming Trunk Show Event!!

Hello brides! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! Some exciting news: first weekend in June is coming up and we are celebrating with a Trunk Show! Yay! Friday, June 5th and Saturday, June 6th we will be having a Vera Wang Trunk Show at the La Jeune Mariee Collection store in downtown Columbus!

Not only will you be able to browse the selection of Vera Wang gowns that we have in our store but also the entire Fall 2015 Vera Wang Collection will be here Friday and Saturday! So many options to choose from to find your dream dress, what could be better than that!

Big Rock's Moving!!

Big Rock Bridal, sister store of La Jeune Mariee, is moving! Currently located in the heart of the Short North Arts District of downtown Columbus, Ohio, Big Rock Bridal offers designer bridal gowns such as Vera Wang, Jenny Packham, Anna Maier, Lazaro, and Liancarlo, starting at $4000 and can exceed $15,000. Our new Big Rock store will be moving right next door to La Jeune Mariee Collection in downtown Columbus, off of East Main Street. We are SO excited to have our sister stores right next door!! What could be better than a bunch of designer wedding gowns just steps away from each other, talk about lots of options!

We are anticipating the build to be done near the end of June, but while the Big Rock store is under construction, we will still be taking appointments, however they will be next door at the La Jeune Mariee store. All the Big Rock bridal gowns will also be there for the time being until the new store is all set up so you won't be missing out on anything! Flower Child: Bridal Trend Update for Spring/Summer 2016

By now you have probably noticed the bohemian trend going on over the last year or so, which has been extremely popular, especially with the younger crowd and is still continuing to grow. This trend is growing so quickly that with 1970's inspirations established in ready-to-wear, ethereal bohemian influences have begun to infiltrate the bridal market! So how does one incorporate that so lovable boho chic trend into a wedding dress for their big day?  With layers of sheer tulle, chiffon and organza which are adorned with floral appliqué and beaded floral patterns, of course!

Bridal Boutique in Short North Under New Ownership Receives Modern Makeover.

Hip bridal boutique, Big Rock Little Rooster, located in the epicenter of the Short North Arts District was purchased at the beginning of the year by local bridal store maven Lindsay Fork, owner of La Jeune Mariee Collection, La Jeune Mariee Maids and Social Occasions and upscale consignment bridal boutique LuxeRedux Bridal, all located on or near High Street between Downtown Columbus and Worthington. "I've always admired the more modern, eclectic appeal of Big Rock and couldn't be more thrilled to carry on the tradition of providing brides with something a bit less traditional when looking for their wedding gown."

Big Rock Bridal Atelier - Intimate Bridal Boutique in Columbus, Ohio (Short North)

The name is changing slightly as Fork is dropping the "Little Rooster" half of the original name, and adding Bridal Atelier to the famously shortened moniker the boutique has come to be known for. "In order for us to continue offering certain luxury brands like Vera Wang, there were changes that were mandatory and we think the change will be positive" explains Fork. What is not changing is the spirit of artful fashion that makes Big Rock Bridal Atelier at home in the Short North.
